WaveTrak 3DPack

Interface Server Configuration Menu

Connectivity Parameters ñ This table is used to input all "Connectivity Parameters" required to configure communication to/from SAP to/from WaveTrak. This is a highly protected option only accessible to high level users. It is unlikely that after initial configuration these tables would be modified, but most likely would be configured by WaveTrak technical support personnel only in the event that there was some systemic connection change required.

Interface Parameters

This is the Table that would be used to setup all Connectivity Parameters for performance of all defined interface tasks between SAP and WIN CC from WaveTrak WCS. I have provided a detailed explanation of each of the data elements that require entry in the section below. These parameters drive the processes defined under the Interface Server Menu.

This is another highly protected option, only accessible to high level users. It is unlikely that after original configuration these tables would be modified, and most likely would be configured by WaveTrak technical support personnel only in the event an interval timing parameter needed to be modified.

Please refer to the screen image. We would modify the system to manage a dimensioning only requirement. I have only addressed the parameters that affect our dimensioning process in this document.

SAP Get Deliveries Timer (minutes): This is the timer set on WaveTrak WCS that determines how often we call SAP to acquire any deliveries that might be in the queue. In this example the timer is set to have WaveTrak call SAP every 3 minutes.

Get Deliveries from SAP

The Interface Server module retrieves new and changed Deliveries from SAP, performs dimensioning into Boxes and Totes, determines packing requirements, and sends to final destination in your case back to SAP.

You will remember that these programs are performed on a scheduled basis as per the interface parameters defined on the Interface Parameter Table. The SAP Get Deliveries Timer is set at 3 minutes. Therefore, the Interface Services Controller will "call" SAP every 3 minutes to determine if it has any Deliveries that are new and/or changed to direct to WaveTrak. If there are Deliveries, WaveTrak "takes" them and processes them through our read-in programs. It is these programs that perform the dimensioning logic after which the results can be directed back to SAP.

Dimensioning Error Fill Rate - This value is the value used to determine what percentage of available cubic space is to be used when performing our dimensioning process. You system is currently set at a 90% fill rate.

In addition to cost and support, this product allows our warehouse and materials groups to continue operations even when our main system is unavailable. It provides for integration with carousels and has recently been interfaced with various European crane systems.
